It is literally scorching hot here in Maryland these days. I walked outside at 5am today and it was already hot. I recognize that (by and large) I have the luxury of being able to avoid the heat. AC in the car, at home, in my office. I can simply bolt and avoid the elements. So can many of the people I know. As we sit in safe quarters, lets be very mindful of those who must work in the heat of the day. There are many who make their living outside and this week will not be an easy one. Simply pray for God to watch over them, keep them safe, sustain them, and help in any way. And. . .if you have the chance, help in any tangible way you can.
